Springpole Lake
50 minutes flight time
Springpole is a 12 mile long, narrow, east/west running, deep lake located 100 miles north of our base camp. It is on the Cat river system and offers an excellent variety of trophy walleyes, northern pike and even Lake Trout.
The long narrow structure provides great protection on windy days. Large walleyes love to hang out off the deep rock cuts close by the cabin. Springpole has a very nice average size to the walleyes and the northern pike.
There is a rapids just a mile away from the cabin where you can stand and fish directly off the shore and another rapids pouring in at the west end.
We have no other commercial operators on Springpole so you have the whole 12 mile long lake to fish for yourselves!
The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 6 beds. There are 3 - 14 foot boats at the site equipped with 2-stroke 15 hp Mercury motors - all gas included, Boats have padded swivel boat seats with back rests.
Cabin amenities include:
- 2 propane refrigerators
- 4 burner gas stove with oven
- propane BBQ grill
- screened porch
- electric lighting
- hot and cold water
- indoor shower
- large cooler to hold block ice (provided by camp at no charge)
- satellite phone communication with base camp
- propane fish cooker and shore lunch pan for outside fish frying.
To ensure quality fishing for years to come, all walleyes over 18" must be released & all northern pike over 27 1/2" must be released.
